The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence will build on her breakout year of cinematic success in 2013 by gracing the February cover of Vanity Fair.

In her cover interview for Vanity Fair, which names the star the most desirable woman, Jennifer Lawrence candidly answers questions about her career, the pressures in Hollywood, and the terrors of walking the red carpet.

After the box office success of The Hunger Games, Lawrence quickly became a Hollywood mainstay on a variety of red carpets.

When asked about her thoughts on acting and what it’s like to receive so much attention, Jennifer Lawrence didn’t hold back about her career choice. “Everybody’s like, ‘How can you remain with a level head? And I’m like, ‘Why would I ever get cocky? I’m not saving anybody’s life,” said Lawrence about her profession. “There are doctors who save lives and firemen who run into burning buildings. I’m making movies. It’s stupid.'”

It was a grounded response from Lawrence who earned an Academy Award nomination in 2010 for Best Actress for her role in Winter’s Bone.

As for her many red carpet appearances, Lawrence was candid and truthful about the experience. “It’s uncomfortable having to pose when people are shouting at you,” admitted the star, “and the next day you just get slaughtered. You walk out there and go, ‘Hate me!'”

Jennifer Lawrence recently received a Best Actress Golden Globe nomination for her role in Silver Linings Playbook and will be seen in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and X-Men: Days of Future Past.
