Lady Gaga canceled the remaining dates of her Born This Way Ball tour due to a hip injury after postponing four previous dates in the U.S. and Canada.

Live Nation confirmed the news on Wednesday after Lady Gaga canceled concerts in Chicago, Detroit, and Hamilton, Ontario due to severe hip pain. Following the pain, Lady Gaga was diagnosed with Synovitis, which causes severe inflammation of the joints, and will soon undergo surgery. As it turns out, Gaga could be laid up for be months to fully recover.

The media reported that Lady Gaga had been performing shows with the injury for a month and was finally put on mandatory bed rest by her physician.

Although she was forced to take a break, Gaga addressed her fans to apologize for the canceled concerts.

“I am completely devastated and heartsick,” admitted Gaga to fans. “I’ve been hiding this injury and pain from my staff for a month, praying it would heal, but after last night’s performance I could not walk. To the fans in Chicago, Detroit and Hamilton, I hope you can forgive me as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself right now. I would do anything for you. I will hopefully heal as soon as possible and be at 500% again, which is what you deserve.”

To show their support, many fans wished Gaga well through social media.

“@ladygaga praying for you to heal quickly. God bless you,” said fan Kari Jobe (‏@karijobe) on Twitter.
