Dannielle “Danni” Allen was named winner of The Biggest Loser Season 14 after the 26-year old beat fellow finalists Jeff Nichols and Jackson Carter.
Although the Season 14 finale of The Biggest Loser was filled with several amazing transformations on Tuesday, the night belonged to Danni Allen who walked away the new winner of The Biggest Loser.
It was a close 1-pound finish for Danni who lost a total of 121 pounds after starting her Biggest Loser journey at 258 pounds. When the season came to an end, Danni looked outstanding as a healthier version of herself in her mew model-like body.
The day after winning The Biggest Loser, The Deadbolt caught up with Danni Allen for a quick chat about the changes from her journey and her plans for the future.
THE DEADBOLT: Can you take us through some of the changes that you see in yourself, not just on the outside – they’re very obvious – but on the inside as well?
DANNI ALLEN: Definitely. Like you said, the physical transformation is right in front of you. There’s no question ther4e. I’m physically able to transform. But the best part is mentally, it’s amazing the new person I’ve become.
That’s something that Jillian actually focused on right from the beginning and she asked the hard questions. Why are you fat? Why are you the way you are? She asked those questions that non one would ever asked me before because she knew I didn’t ask then myself. I hid them in a corner.
So, being able to confront those hard questions and those deep demons and let them out and expose them gave me the tools to fight them. Some of them have been cured and some of them I’ll fight with my entire life. But at least now I have the tools to keep that going.
THE DEADBOLT: And you’re aware?
DANNI: Yes, exactly. Awareness is the best gift that I got.
THE DEADBOLT: What are your plans for the future and for the winnings?
DANNI: Well, first of all, I’m just enjoying the moment. That’s the one thing my mom made me promise, that I would enjoy this moment. I’m going to do it. But I’m also going to set some goals beyond The Biggest Loser because I knew I needed something else to look forward to afterward.
My goal was to run my first marathon this year. So I’m trying to sign up for the Chicago marathon in 2013 in October. That’s going to be my first fitness goal to reach outside The Biggest Loser.
As far as the money goes, I have made no plans for it because it’s too taboo. No way! I’m not planning for money that I don’t have. That’s the one thing the finalists did say. Jeff and I were the guaranteed finalists and we both said we were going to work hard but we promised each other that we’d reward the other one with a vacation. We’re going to go on a vacation to reward each other and to make sure we did this together.
To be the winner by one pound, I’m happy to keep my word and take Jeff. I’ll probably take Francelina too since we became inseparable and I’ll be the third wheel. But everyone’s been talking about how I’m single and hot now so maybe I’ll find my man on this vacation.
What do you think of Danni’s transformation on The Biggest Loser?
