It’s a DWTS shocking elimination…
Let’s just start out by saying today’s songs taken back a few decades as far back as the 1920’s sounds absolutely ridiculous. But tonight is Eras night. The couples will be dancing to modern and futuristic dance styles like the Charleston, jive, jazz and quickstep (why don’t Tom and Erin dress up?). The top pair will be safe from elimination. The leaderboard is as follows:
Nastia and Sasha – Modern Charleston – 38
Riker and Allison – 20’s Quickstep – 37
Willow and Mark – Futuristic Jazz – 37
Noah and Sharna – 70’s Jazz – 36
Rumer and Val – 60’s Jive – 35
Chris and Witney – 40’s Foxtrot – 31
Robert and Kym – 80’s Argentine Tango – 31
The dance-off for two more judges points featured three styles picked by your opponent and you don’t know what it is until they’ve chosen.
Riker & Allison vs Mark & Willow – Salsa – ::WINNER:: Willow & Mark – Total Score – 39
Noah & Sharna vs Robert & Kym – Cha Cha – ::TIE:: Len is final decision – Noah & Sharna – Total Score – 38
Rumer & Val vs Chris & Witney – Foxtrot – ::WINNER:: Rumer & Val – Total Score – 37
Riker gets the first 10 by Len and stone-faced Bruce comes to visit Rumor during rehearsals! That may be the only good news. So many injuries this week leading up to tonight’s performances with Rumer hurting her neck only yesterday. Since Derek was injured during rehearsals for the 10th Anniversary Special last Monday, Sasha will be taking over with Nastia. Yep, Derek is out (broken toe and sprained ankle). He’s planning to be 100% by the tour.
Last week’s package didn’t show Noah’s partner in the best light so this week he’s making sure everyone knows how happy he is with Sharna. He also gets a visit from season 18’s runner-up Amy Purdy who knows exactly what he’s gong through as an amputee in this competition.
Nastia and Sasha are the pair that is safe from elimination but one couple is still headed home.
Willow and Mark are sent home! She was the youngest competitor in DWTS history and should have been at the end. Viewer votes work.
