After just two days of games, “SNL” castmember Leslie Jones proved to be an Olympic enthusiast and super fan. With endless tweets entertaining followers, and showing her pride and support for the Rio Olympic games. NBC has officially invited Jones to Rio as a contributor for coverage.
“Starting this Friday, Jones will attend live Olympic events, meet athletes, and spread her enthusiasm for the Olympics on-air and online during NBC Olympics’ coverage of Rio 2016,” said and NBC press release.
The wheels were set in motion on Saturday when NBC Olympics Executive Producer Jim Bell tweeted Jones, “You’re officially invited to Rio. Want to come?” She replied, “hmmmm don’t play cause y’all need me! I would have the whole Olympics pumped!!”
Leslie shared the announcement in a video on Twitter.
