For the first time in 10 years, pop icon Britney Spears will return to VMA stage with a must see performance. Britney will share the stage with rising star, G-Eazy for the world premiere performance of “Make Me” from her new studio Album “Glory” (expected release August 26).
“The appearance is the first time fans will see a live performance from Spears’ new album, set for release by RCA Records two days before the VMAs, on August 26,” says the MTV press release, “With 28 nominations and 5 wins, Britney has been a mainstay at the VMAs with some of the most memorable and talked about moments in their history.”
In addition to Britney Spears and G-Eazy, 2016 “Vanguard Video” recipient Rihanna will also be performing at this year’s award show. Other presenters and performers for the show will be announced at a later date.
The 2016 VMAs will air LIVE from New York’s iconic Madison Square Garden for the first time ever on Sunday, August 28 at 9:00 p.m. ET. Check out Britney’s announcement video below.
