Debbie Reynolds, the mother of Carrie Fisher, died Wednesday at age 84, just one day after her daughter’s death. Her cause of death is unclear, but an unnamed source told the Los Angeles Times she had complained of breathing problems.
Just the day before her death, Debbie Reynolds shared on Facebook, “Thank you to everyone who has embraced the gifts and talents of my beloved and amazing daughter. I am grateful for your thoughts and prayers that are now guiding her to her next stop. Love Carries Mother.”
The mother daughter duo were so similar in their wit and charm. Back in November when Carrie’s book released with the disclosure of her affair with Harrison Ford, Debbie defended her daughter with the below update:
The “About” description of Debbie’s Facebook page simply says, “I’ve made a lot of movies the past 60 years…” and that she did. It’s incomprehensible what their family is going through in the past 2 days. Rest in peace Carrie and Debbie.
