NBC announced the new hit series, “World of Dance,” has been renewed for a second season. America is grooving with the impressive dance competition with judges Jennifer Lopez, Derek Hough, Ne-Yo, and host Jenna Dewan-Tatum.
NBC’s press release stated, “‘World of Dance,’ which was the #1 regular timeslot premiere of 2017 on the broadcast networks in the 18-49 demo as well as the most-watched summer alternative series debut on cable or broadcast in nine years.”
Lopez, who also serves as Executive Producer of the show, said, “I am so proud to not only star, but produce a show that is so close to my heart,” she added, “I am so happy that ‘World of Dance’ has resonated with audiences and we are able to put dancers on the pedestal they deserve. I cannot wait to continue this journey and my partnership with NBC.”
“World of Dance,” currently airing season 1, features the world’s best dancers (literally) who are competing against each other for the $1 million prize.
New episodes of “World of Dance” air on Tuesdays at 10 pm ET on NBC.
