On Thursday, November 16 the Tucson Police Department told the Associated Press that rising rapper Lil Peep died of a suspected overdose of Xanax. Lil Peep was reportedly found unresponsive on his tour bus by his manager yesterday, November 15, ahead of a scheduled concert in Tucson, Arizona.
The Pima County Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy and released a statement saying that the suspected cause of death is a drug overdose.
First Access Entertainment CEO Sarah Stennett said in a statement to the New York Times, “I’m shocked and heartbroken. He had huge ambition and his career was flourishing.”
