ABC’s one-hour premiere of “Roseanne” deubute with an average audience of 18.2 million viewers increasing from its first half-hour to its second half-hour, and dominated as Tuesday’s highest-rated entertainment telecast in 6 years.
Opening the series, Roseanne and Dan’s house is full again after Darlene loses her job and moves in with her kids, Harris and Mark. Becky announces she’s going to surrogate for extra money, and their grandson Mark experiences bullying at school. Roseanne and her sister Jackie are at odds with one another.
There are rumors the reboot series is getting a second season revival, but it has yet to be confirmed. ABC rebroadcasts its one-hour “Roseanne” season premiere, Sunday, April 1 at 7 pm ET. New “Roseanne” episodes air on Tuesdays at 8 pm ET on ABC.
