HBO announced the intimate, funny and heartbreaking documentary, “Robin Williams: Inside My Mind” will debut July 16 on HBO. A portrait one of the world’s most beloved, inventive and genius comedians, Robin Williams, the documentary celebrates what he brought to comedy and the world until his death in 2014.
“ROBIN WILLIAMS: COME INSIDE MY MIND explores his extraordinary life and career, revealing what drove him to give voice to the characters in his mind. With previously unheard and unseen glimpses into his creative process through interviews with Williams, as well as home movies and onstage footage, this insightful tribute features in-depth interviews with those who knew and loved him, including Billy Crystal, Eric Idle, Whoopi Goldberg, David Letterman, Steve Martin, Pam Dawber and his son, Zak Williams,” from HBO’s press release.
Williams was a comedic genius who made the entire world laugh. The documentary highlights his exceptional success including his Academy Award®-winning performance in “Good Will Hunting,” and the tragic news of his death in 2014, when heartbroken fans learned he had been suffering from the disease Lewy Body Dementia.
