Paramount Network released the official trailer for “American Woman” a a new half-hour scripted dramedy set to premiere June 7th.
The 12-episode series is set amid the sexual revolution and rise of feminism in the 1970s inspired by the real-life upbringing of Kyle Richards (“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”). “American Woman” stars Alicia Silverstone, Mena Suvari and Jennifer Bartels.
The story “follows Bonnie (Silverstone), an unconventional mother struggling to raise her two daughters after leaving her husband amid the rise of second-wave feminism in 1970s Los Angeles. Bonnie also comes to rely on the help of her two best friends, Kathleen (Suvari) and Diana (Bartels), as they each discover their own brand of independence in a glamorous and ever-changing world reluctant to give it,” says the Paramount Network press release.
The series premiere of “American Woman” airs Thursday, June 7 at 10 pm ET on Paramount Network. Check out the sneak peek trailer below.
