USA Network’s limited series, “The Sinner” returns for season 2 premiering August 1st. Season one debuted last summer on USA Network and was the #1 new cable series of 2017. For the eight-episode second season, Jessica Biel will executive produce along with Derek Simonds, Charlie Gogolak, Michelle Purple and Brad Winters.

The upcoming second season of “The Sinner,” “lures Detective Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman) back to his hometown in rural New York to assess an unsettling and heart wrenching crime — parents murdered by their 11-year-old son, with no apparent motive. As Ambrose realizes there’s nothing ordinary about the boy or where he came from, the investigation pulls him into the hidden darkness of his hometown. He’s pitted against those who’ll stop at nothing to protect its secrets — and a mysterious woman who proves to be a complicated, enigmatic piece to this haunting puzzle,” according to the USA press release.
The compelling season 2 of “The Sinner,” premieres Wednesday, August 1 at 10 pm ET on USA Network.
