Paramount Network announced the renewal of, “Yellowstone” from writer, producer, and director Taylor Sheridan, starring Kevin Costner, will return for a second season.
The network’s first scripted original series, ranked as second most-watched-series in all of cable, stars Costner along with Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, Brecken Merrill, Jefferson White, Danny Huston and Gil Birmingham.
“Yellowstone” chronicles the Dutton family, led by John Dutton (Costner), who controls the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States. Amid shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds, and hard-earned respect – the ranch is in constant conflict with those it borders – an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park,” says the Paramount Network press release.
A press release stated production will begin shortly for the new “10-episode season, which will be shot entirely on location in Utah and Montana.”
Oscar® nominated screenwriter Sheridan returns as the showrunner and a writer for the series.
