The Deadbolt was created in 2005 by former Coming Attractions writer and Screenwriter’s Voice co-founder Reg Seeton, CEO of Barclay Street Productions, Inc., the industry’s leading team of content providers. Created as a one-stop news resource, The Deadbolt quickly became a Top 10 Google News resource and “go to” outlet for reliable information as one of the fastest growing entertainment websites on the Internet.

While growing The Deadbolt from 2005 to 2007, Reg and the staff at The Deadbolt also managed three premiere channels for UGO.com out of New York City while directing content for other writing related outlets in Los Angeles. In 2007, Reg and his team successfully raised UGO’s content profile to the top of the entertainment market before the network was purchased by The Hearst Corporation. Several former writers under Reg’s management currently work for such publications as MTV, HollywoodChicago, and more.

In 2007, The Deadbolt staff went to work full time on making the outlet one of the Internet’s premiere entertainment destinations.
