On the love/hate dynamic with relationships in Judd Apatow films:

"I think that the one thing, other than making really good comedies that this brand of Judd Apatow movies has done, and other than reinventing the R-rated comedy, is they show just a lot more reality in relationships [and] a lot more accuracy. I have referenced this before, but I think that the Leslie Mann - Paul Rudd relationship in Knocked Up was one of the best I’ve seen because they are happy and they are miserable and you can never really side with her or him. They’re both right and they’re both wrong and it’s like that Dave Mamet play Oleanna. No matter who you believe, you’re wrong and no matter who you believe, you’re right. I think that is one of the reasons I loved Jason’s script so much because it didn’t demonize Sarah, even thought she instigated the break-up. There are always two sides to it, always."

Bell on what fanboys will think of the upcoming Fanboys movie:

"It’s a love letter. I hope it will be well received. I like the movie. The majority of people involved are actual fanboys, which I think gives it a little more street cred than just a bunch of people trying to make a fanboy movie. It really is just a love letter to that sort of sub-culture that is Star Wars lovers."

Bell on her other project, Serious Moonlight:

"It was virtually the whole team from Waitress. Adrienne’s [Shelly] husband produced it and Cheryl [Hines] is directing it. It’s unbelievable to me that Cheryl can be as perfect as she is because she’s hysterical, she’s gorgeous, and she just steps up to the plate - and sure, 'I guess I’ll become a successful female comedy director. I guess today that’s what I’ll do.' She’s so impressive, I adored her even before I was lucky enough to work with her. It was a great script. There are only four characters in it and we shot it in fifteen days and it was just an awesome experience. We shot just before Christmas, it was super low budget, but it was really fun and she knew exactly what she wanted. She was calm, cool and collected, and I’m really excited to see the product."

Kristen Bell on attending Comic-Con:

"This is - not to be cocky - but I go over really well at Comic-Con. I’ve done quite a few Comic-Cons and I enjoy the hell out of them. They are so much fun and so bizarre. I’ve done the FX Show in Florida, I’ve done Wizard World in Chicago, I’ve done Comic-Con in San Diego, I’ve done Wonder-Con in San Francisco, I’ve done the East Coast Comic-Con in New York, and I’ve done them numerous times. I’ve also been involved with products a little bit more fanboyish since the beginning of my career. But I have an ultimate respect for fanboys because it’s people who like what they like and I think that’s the easiest thing to have respect for. It’s so original; they’re not trying to fit in. Sure it’s bizarre, sure you dress up and play with action figures, but whatever... you’re having fun, who cares. They idea of not conforming and doing something because you enjoy is just... I love it."
