Wilde on Thirteen’s real name:
"It’s funny, I thought they were going to reveal it a while ago and I think it’s great that the producers made this dramatic choice not to reveal it when they had planned to. They actually tried to hide it, it disappeared from the call sheets, it disappeared around the set, and I think they’re not putting too much value on the secrecy of the name. But they like the fact that it has established an inside joke between House and Thirteen. He could easily look at her file and see her name, but he chooses to keep it up."
Olivia Wilde on learning about strange diseases:
"I so enjoy learning about all of these crazy diseases. I particularly love the neurological disorders. I’m a big fan of Oliver Sacks and I love reading his books. It’s really fun and I love the medical terminology. It’s pretty difficult, but I really enjoy learning it."
On joining the cast of the so-called "McLovin" movie [The Year One]:
"That’s funny, the new McLovin’ film. Yeah, he’s in it, I believe. But it’s actually Jack Black’s movie. It’s Jack Black and Michael Cera, directed by Harold Ramis, produced by Judd Apatow, and it’s called The Year One and it should be out in 2009. It’s a Monty Python-esque journey through biblical times and it’s hilarious. We start shooting on Monday [January 28]."
Olivia Wilde on shooting in the first person perspective on the upcoming film Fix:
"We just came back from Slamdance, it was fabulous. There was one HD camera and my husband is also the director, Tao Ruspoli, he shot most of it. His character spends most of the time behind the camera. Occasionally other characters would pick it up, but it meant we had to stretch ourselves beyond being actors and learn to be DPs as well, which was really exciting and it inspired me to do it again. That film is very interesting and it’s a totally unorthodox way of filming. We had an amazing premiere up at Slamdance and we’re about to head up to the Santa Barbara Film Festival, so people should be seeing that soon."
