Siren and her thoughts on the original American Gladiators:
"It’s funny. We actually have the same favorite people. I remember Nitro the most out of any because I think he was the most vocal and in the interviews - I think he interviewed really well and always had a good one-liner to say. And, I just liked his looks. But also, Ice was my favorite female because she was so powerful and intense all the time, but she was also beautiful. I loved her physique and I just respected the way she handled herself in the events. I just felt like she was the most - overall, the strongest female gladiator throughout the series. And I always looked up to the gladiators. I’ve always loved muscle. As a female growing up, I was an athlete that - I really loved being strong and wanted to be strong. So I aspired to people like her and Ice - her name is Lori Fetrick and we actually work with her on a regular basis. She’s been a phenomenal help to us throughout the training for our series and as we go into Season 2, she’s working with us. She wants to help us make it a successful show and she really cares about the athletes. And she’s been there. It’s tough. This is not an everyday job that you can just get up and drive to the office, and get coffee on the way. I mean, this is serious, professional athlete and mixed with primetime TV. And that’s an animal to have to deal with that."
Wolf on new American Gladiators host Hulk Hogan:
"He’s had some severe injuries and I know that. I wake up every day hurting and sore. And he’s - due to the wrestling business, it’s taken a toll and it will. I wouldn’t count him out either because he has the heart of a lion in there and I wouldn’t put it past him to be able to run the Eliminator and beat anybody. I wouldn’t put it past him to be able to do anything. And I dang sure wouldn’t want to get into a fight with Laila [Ali]. I’ve seen the woman fight and I’m not going to take that hit."
Siren on her favorite event:
"Oh, that’s hard to pick. They all have the fun aspects to them. But I would say for me Powerball was so much fun, more fun than I thought it was going to be. I was little more - worried. I’m like, 'This one is really prone to injury,' but once you get going and your adrenalin picks up, you’re tackling people - it’s so much fun. I couldn’t wait to do it again and I was very safe with it. You know, I just made sure I was tackling safely. But nobody went by me without getting tackled. And then I would say the Hang Tough. The rings were - both Wolf and I excelled very well. It was just the most intellectually strategic game - it’s difficult and it’s over water. It’s not something you do every day. So for me, that was more mentally and physically challenging but I was able to excel extremely well in that. So I feel good about it."
Wolf on the event he likes the most:
"I’m really into the events where you can hit somebody hard like the Powerball and the Pyramid. And I love those two, and they don’t let me do those events - maybe because I do try to hurt people. But the Hang Tough, like she said - I love that one because of the intellectual part of it. I get to taunt them beforehand. Then as I’m coming across the rings, because it’s not such a fast paced, action, it’s more methodical and I can talk to them as I’m coming across the rings, and get into their heads and mess with them. And then once I get them, I don’t have to just rip them right off the rings right away. I can spin them around, look in their eyes and say something - and just see the defeat come over their face, and watch their soul leave their body before I rip them off. And I love that."
Wolk on the type of job he wanted when he was growing up:
"From the time I was seven, I wanted to grow up and be Elvis. I wanted to be a singer, an actor. You know, I wanted to be able to affect the world. That was a man that everybody in the world knew and still knows to this day. And he did a lot of really cool things and took care of a lot of people. And so I figured, get to that status, get to that level to where everybody knows you and then you can use that celebrity in order to try to change the world and try to do things. And so I’m working on a lot of stuff. I’m eventually going to put an album out because I still love singing and I’m going to act. I’m going to do everything and I’m also into helping kids find themselves and not worry about being bullied and not worry about being different... and because I was a kid that was very small. I was short. I was thin and I was a tough kid because of that. I kind of had that short man syndrome for a while to where I would fight at the drop of a hat. But I learned a long time ago that if you just focus on your dreams and your goals and you live a better life, that’s the best revenge to get back at those people that have treated you or are treating you poorly, and to be better than them. And so that’s something I want to eventually do as well... is help kids and adults as well to just find themselves and be happy, and be proud of who they are and not worry about everybody else’s lives."
