In a completely unrelated incident, on the same day that French actress Eva Green was announced to be the new bond girl, a sex tape starring Kid Rock and Scott Stapp made its debut on the internet.

According to CNN Green was hired to play the role of a femme fatal opposite new Bond stand-in Daniel Craig (Layer Cake). Green who made her debut as the flirty and freaky Isabelle in Bernardo Bertolucci’s The Dreamers and went on to star in Kingdom of Heaven, reportedly beat out Olivia Wilde (The O.C.) for the part. Gossip site The Superficial also reports that the role went to Green only after Angelina Jolie, Charlize Theron and Thandie Newton turned it down. Fourth best or not, we’re still stoked to see Green in action.

The little known French actress had her thunder stolen however, when Red Light District - the same distributor that got it’s grimy hands on the Paris Hilton sex tape - announced it had made yet another noteworthy distribution deal by acquiring a video featuring Pam Anderson’s ex Kid Rock and former Creed frontman Scott Stapp having sex with a bus load of Playmate-esque fans. The preview clip (yes they took the time to make a trailer), which can be seen in all its glory courtesy of The Superficial, features a gaggle of well-endowed giggling girls swooning over the disheveled, strung out rockers as well as too much of Stapp’s lanky upper body. Red Light District’s president David Joseph made it clear to CNN that Rock and Stapp do not engage in sexual acts with each other - as if that, and not the fact that watching trashy, skinny guys get naked is yucky, would hinder people from picking up the tape.

Joseph told CNN that he attempted to contact Rock and Stapp regarding the tape but because it "wasn't just shot by one person -- there were a lot of people holding the camera - it's not necessary that we need (Rock and Stapp) to sign off on this. We left messages for them but they didn't respond, so maybe they didn't take it seriously." We can only hope the same will be true for American audiences, but if the Hilton tape is any indication Rock and Stapp may be on their way to becoming the most downloaded rockers.

To make matters worse, the release of the sex tape comes on the heals of Stapp being arrested for public drunkenness at LAX a day after marrying Jaclyn Nesheiwat, former Miss New York and, according to CNN, "the director of public affairs for the Scott Stapp Foundation, which promotes healthy parent-child relationships." Hopefully the foundation isn’t looking to Stapp as a role model for its mandate. But that doesn’t mean that some people aren’t, after gushing about how good the sex tape is, Red Light’s Joseph was quick to tell CNN "I wish I was a rock star, I tell you. I'm in the wrong business."
