Elisabeth Hasselbeck welcomes son Taylor
November 13, 2007

Elisabeth Hasselbeck, the youngest of the co-hosts of the popular talk show, The View, gave birth to her first son on Friday. By Monday, she was all ready to talk about the experience and, more importantly, Elisabeth Hasselbeck was ready to spill the beans on the newest addition to the Hasselbeck family.

Elisabeth and Tim Hasselbeck, who already have a 2-year-old daughter named Grace Elisabeth, welcomed their 7 pound, 15 ounce baby boy into the world through what Elisabeth referred to as a labor that lasted "forever...four or five thousand hours," with a final 35 minutes of simply "pushing through." Hasselbeck called into The View on Monday to talk about the delivery of newly-christened Taylor Thomas Hasselbeck.

It seems like everything is going smoothly over at the Hasselbeck household. Elisabeth told her View co-hosts that her two children are getting along just fine, as Grace Elisabeth, "loves him. She has him on her lap this morning." Elisabeth also announced her plans to the world that she will breast feed her baby, noting that she has ""big boobs like Sherri [Shepherd]."

For all the View fans out there who just can't wait to get their dose of the former Suvivor castaway, Elisabeth Hasselbeck made it known that she would return to the series just after the holidays are over, with January 6th circled on her calendar as her return date. That ought to be a good sign for producers, who were caught off-guard when Hasselbeck left the show almost three full weeks earlier than expected last month. The change of plans came after her husband, NFL quarterback Tim Hasselbeck, was signed by the Arizona Cardinals, and his loving wife decided to follow him to the warmer climate.

However, it seems like the change of scenery worked out for the best for Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Her last scheduled show was expected to be November 9th, though that would have meant the View host would have gone into labor during her last show on the air. Imagine the ratings ABC could have scored if that had happened!
