Nancy Grace hospitalized, expected to be released
November 15, 2007
After she gave birth to twins earlier this month, Headline News anchor Nancy Grace found herself back in a hospital after she developed blood clots in her lungs. The medical condition arose as part of complications with her recent pregnancy, though Nancy Grace is expected to make a full recovery and be released from hospital shortly.
Celebrity TV host Nancy Grace delivered twins prematurely on November 4, after which doctors were said to have discovered some fluid in Grace's lungs. However, after giving birth, Nancy Grace recovered from the complication and headed home. However, on Sunday, Grace reported having trouble breathing on her way to church. It was at that time that her husband, David Linch, brought Nancy Grace to an Atlanta emergency room, at which time doctors found two blood clots in her lungs.
By Wednesday, Nancy Grace seemed to have been able to move past the complications are is expected to be released from the Atlanta hospital. David Linch told People Magazine that Grace is "doing pretty doggone good," as he noted that medication "has had a dramatic impact" on Nancy's condition. Linch went on to say that Nancy Grace "is breathing effortlessly now," and that, "he swelling around her legs and feet have pretty much gone away." Despite that fact, David Linch noted that Nancy Grace will likely stick to her medication, "for a couple of months to make sure everything is okay and prevent any other clots."
While concern has been centred on Nancy Grace's well-being, her two newborn children seem to be doing just fine, despite being born prematurely. Linch noted that, "John David has gone from being fed via a tube to primarily being fed by a bottle and today is the first day they're going to try to give Lucy Elizabeth a bottle. Her weight is going up and she's doing quite well." Just like their mom, both children seem to be improving in terms of their health. "They' re out of the critical area and have stabilized pretty well."
