Lindsay Lohan Does a Little Time
November 16, 2007

Lindsay Lohan is now officially a jailbird, having served 84 minutes of time yesterday at the now-infamous Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California - 21 minutes less than it took to sit through her last cinematic nightmare, I Know Who Killed Me. LiLo checked herself in at 10:30am yesterday morning and was out the front door by 11:54am. Just in time for lunch. Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore, the man made famous in the tabloids during Paris Hilton's stay at the Century, told the press that Lindsay Lohan was cooperative. According to E!, Whitmore also denied that Lohan got any favorable treatment at all and said that Lindsay was set free because it's typical for misdemeanor offenders to only serve a fraction of their time.

Keep this in your back pocket for the next time you're playing LiLo trivia - the innate number for Lohan was 1059383. The latest starlet to do time was sentenced to one day in jail after she worked out a plea deal in her drunk driving arrests from earlier this year. We know there's no preferential treatment, but isn't amazing that someone can drive drunk twice, allegedly flee the scene of one of the accidents, have what was called a usable amount of cocaine in the car, and only do 84 minutes behind bars. Lindsay Lohan probably hadn't even sat down in her cell when she was set free.

Now, of course, there's a little more to the sentence for Lindsay Lohan. She's done the day in jail that she was required to do but now the 21-year-old actress has to be good during three years of probation (if she breaks it, she might have to do a whole two hours in jail!). Lindsay Lohan was also ordered to perform 10 days of community service, go to drug treatment, and attend an 18-month alcohol education program. Interestingly, LiLo is also forbidden from associating with drug users. In Hollywood, that could be tough. Lindsay had until January 18th to wrap up the jail, drug treatment and community service. She chose to get the first out of the way before the holiday season.

Last month, Lindsay Lohan left the Cirque Lodge in Utah and has, reportedly, recovered from her demons quite well. In fact, there have been no reports of bad behavior or partying since the trip to Utah. LiLo even returned to work, shooting Dare to Love Me, a new tango-centric film. Lindsay Lohan was seen earlier this year in Georgia Rule and I Know Who Killed Me and can be caught on DVD in her breakthrough Mean Girls, A Prairie Home Companion, Freaky Friday, Bobby, and more.
