Kristen Stewart to star in Twilight

Actress Kristen Stewart will star in the upcoming Catherine Hardwicke directed and Melissa Rosenberg adapted vampire thriller Twilight, about a 17-year old girl named Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) who moves in with her father and is soon drawn to mysterious classmate in their small-town high-school. Determined to keep his distance, the classmate's nemesis arrives in town and the unconventional romance puts Bella in danger.

Twilight, a Summit Entertainment project based on the best-selling Stephanie Meyers novel, will begin shooting in February after Kristen Stewart finishes her work on the upcoming comedy Adventureland. Kristen Stewart was last seen in Sean Penn's adventure epic Into the Wild and could be in for more steady work if Twilight becomes the franchise hit many believe it can be given the literary legacy and book sequels - New Moon and Eclipse.

A native L.A. girl, Kristen Stewart has in also appeared in such films as Panic Room, Cold Creek Manor, and Zathura.
