Call it a guilty pleasure, but Teen Titans totally puts a smile on my face. From the very minute a Teen Titans season DVD starts up and that ultra-catchy theme song kicks in, I'm grinning like a goofy kid. Some shows can't quite figure out their target audience - kids who buy toys, teenagers who buy comics, or adults with a nostalgic kick? But Teen Titans somehow finds a way to straddle all kinds of demographics. It's totally silly enough for kids to enjoy, but also well-made and clever enough for adults to dig. There are references that only the parents will get while the kids laugh at the silly behavior of Robin, Starfire, Cyborg, Beast Boy, and Raven. Teen Titans is a blast and the only tragedy about season four is that there's only one more to be released on DVD after this edition.

"Know Your Foes" - Over the course of five behind-the-scenes vignettes, the creators and writers of Teen Titans examine some of the major villains from season four. The team behind Teen Titans take their fans through the creation of and impact of Control Freak, Bob & the Source, Billy Numerous, Mother Mae-Eye, and Trigon.

"Know Your Foes" - We know that may be cheating, but it's the only special feature, so what are we going to do? Seriously, "Know Your Foes" is surprisingly uninformative, really just showing highlights of five characters and not offering a lot of behind-the-scenes insight. It's also a shame that it's the only special feature, but Warner Brothers is clearly making these sets for younger audiences who care more about an affordable package than bells and whistles. For them, the show is enough.

Things were starting to go a little downhill in the fourth season of Teen Titans, but the show still had the potential to be a giddy blast. The nearly complete lack of special features is disappointing, but the show is enough to recommend for fans. If you're never seen Teen Titans, start with the first season. If you already have the first three, you won't be disappointed by the fourth.
