Ashley Tisdale Admits to Nose Job
December 4, 2007
When it comes to the cast of High School Musical, tabloid outlets hit pay dirt a few months ago with the racy nude photo of Vanessa Anne Hudgens. Now, in an attempt to head off the paparazzi at the pass, Ashley Tisdale has come forward to reveal that she did have work done on her nose this past weekend.
Instead of letting various oulets spin stories about Tisdale and her nose work, Ashley Tisdale put it all on the table and quickly announced that she did indeed have nose job surgery on Friday November 30, 2007 in Los Angeles. According to People, Tisdale decided to let the cat out of the bag instead of enduring the horrible before-and-after comparison shots many tabloids might have printed. Still, Tisdale insists it wasn’t for cosmetic reasons, "Growing up, I always knew I had a deviated septum on the right side of my nose, which caused trouble breathing. The older I got, the worse it got. I went to get it checked out, and the doctor told me the septum was 80 percent deviated and that I had two small fractures on my nose."
As for Ashley Tisdale’s quick admission, People reports that Tisdale also wanted to let her fans know that she wasn’t turning into a clichéd Hollywood actress, who simply wants to look better for the cameras. As the report reveals, Tisdale comes clean on another level, "I didn't do this because I believe in plastic surgery. I did this to help my health. I literally almost could not breathe out of the right side of my nose."
It appears that Tisdale was concerned about how her young fans would take the news and stressed the fact that she didn’t want to steer the young fan base into getting surgery, as People reports, "I want my fans to know the truth. I'm not someone who is going to act like I had nothing done. I just want to be honest, because my fans are everything to me."
Ashley will soon be fully healed and ready to shoot the third installment of High School Musical, which is set to begin shooting in early 2008. In November, Ashley Tisdale signed a deal with Disney to reprise her role as Sharpay Evans in High School Musical III.
