Hands up! Who loved March of The Penguins? If your hand is in the air then you'll undoubtedly love the latest frosty feature from National Geographic Films, Arctic Tale. This time we're leaving the little birds in tuxedos behind to follow the great white hunter of the North... The polar bear! Once again, National Geographic delivers stunning visuals, a heartfelt family movie about Nanu the polar bear cub, and a message about the increasingly important topic of global warming. Trust us, it does exist!

Aside from the beautiful, jaw-dropping scenery, the incredible animals, and the engaging way of life in the frozen North, Arctic Tale benefits huge from the soothing voice of the film's narrator, Queen Latifah. Best of all, after all of the elements come together to make for a warm 90-minutes of family entertainment, you can check out the informative and highly educational "making of" feature. If you want to see a couple completely dedicated to their work, take a look at what filmmakers Adam Ravetch and Sarah Robertson did for the last fifteen years. Throughout the film, you may wonder how they got such amazing shots, but Adam shows exactly how he swam with walruses, spent the night with a hungry polar bear, and many more icy adventures.

We were hoping to get a lot more about the Arctic in a few more features. How about a quick rundown of the various animals not featured in the film, or more on the people who live at the top of the world? Actually, come to think of it... doesn't Santa live up there?

Arctic Tale, much like March of The Penguins, is a movie for all ages. Whether you're young or old, you'll definately learn a few things you weren't aware of that might question your own lifestyle. You can either accept it or continue to deny it, but every choice we make affects scores of other living creatures on the planet. We're not trying to sound preachy, but the next time you're filling the Hummer, try to think of Nanu and her rapidly melting home. Not since Disney's old classic series True Life Adventures have we had this much fun in the Arctic.
