One Tree Hill Returns on Tuesday
January 3, 2008
With the writers' strike still in full effect, fans of One Tree Hill will finally be able to catch a break as the popular show makes its 5th season return as a mid-season replacement this coming Tuesday, January 8 at 8pm on The CW. Served up as a two-hour premiere, the fifth season follows the cast several years after last season's finale, set four years in the future after the cast has graduated from college.
Although the writers' strike threw a wrench into the full 22 episode season-order of One Tree Hill, fans will still get what they've been waiting for with 12 upcoming episodes. As for what fans can expect, it's safe to say it will be an interesting season to say the least... albeit an abbreviated run.
"The fifth season of One Tree Hill will be unprecedented in the annals of television drama, as the show leaps forward four years. Season four ended as the young characters graduated high school and season five begins, post-college, four years later. Some of the characters have found success while others have failed. Some are the same, some are very different. And while their storylines will actively move forward, the show will also dip into the past, returning to incidents and events of the last four years, sometimes for a moment or a scene, other times for an entire episode."
How have things changed in four years? Who flunked out? Who's on top? Tune in to The CW this coming Tuesday if you're a One Tree Hill fan. If you've been out of the loop since last year's finale, plug yourself into the official One Tree Hill website to catch up to speed.
