Gwyneth Paltrow Hospitalized and Released
January 15, 2008

Gwyneth Paltrow was hospitalized last night but don't worry, the Oscar-winning actress has already been released. According to E!, Gwyneth Paltrow spent Monday night in New York's Mount Sinai Hospital for an undisclosed malady and spent the night there with husband Chris Martin of Coldplay before checking out this morning. The night stay in the ER was confirmed by publicist Stephen Huvane, but he played down the seriousness, telling E!, "Everything is fine-she is back at home. We are not commenting on the reason for her hospitalization, as it is personal."

Gwyneth Paltrow was in and out of the hospital last year after bashing her knee on furniture during a weekend at Steven Spielberg's beach house. She was reportedly chasing her kids, Apples and Moses, when the incident happened and had to spend time on crutches. Gwyneth Paltrow is incredibly private and was so even during that incident, so we may never know why the star of Shakespeare in Love was hospitalized last night, but it could come up during interviews this May, when she'll have to hit the road to talk about the first big movie of the summer, Iron Man with Robert Downey Jr.

Until then, you can catch the daughter of Blythe Danner and Bruce Paltrow on DVD in Flesh and Bone, Se7en, The Pallbearer, Emma, Sliding Doors, Great Expectations, Hush, A Perfect Murder, Shakespeare in Love, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Bounce, The Anniversary Party, The Royal Tenenbaums, Shallow Hal, Possession, View From the Top, Sylvia, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, Proof, Infamous, and Running With Scissors. She has finished shooting Iron Man and is reportedly working on Two Lovers with Joaquin Phoenix and Isabella Rossellini.
