New Gnarls Barkley Drops in April
February 1, 2008

Brian "Danger Mouse" Burton and Thomas "Cee-Lo Green" Callaway, better known to the world as Gnarls Barkley, are going to release a new CD in April. Their label confirmed the news and that a recently released track by the two geniuses that gave the world one of the best singles of the last decade in "Crazy" was from the upcoming release. The Odd Couple by Gnarls Barkley (an appropriate title, don't ya think?) will hit on tax day, April 15th, and hope to find the success of their last award-winning release St. Elsewhere. There's no track list released yet for The Odd Couple but a leaked track called "Run" has been confirmed for the release. It hit file-sharing sites late Monday night and even though it wasn't confirmed it sounded a lot like Cee-Lo and the Gnarls Barkley sound. Atlantic confirmed to MTV News that it was indeed the odd couple on Tuesday.

Well, so what else will fans find on The Odd Couple? No one really knows. MTV claims that they've heard that Danger Mouse and Cee-Lo are still working on the final result. Danger Mouse told MTV News backstage at the Virgin Festival in September, "We're going to do it at our pace. If we love what's coming out, then we'll do another record; if we don't love it the way we loved [St. Elsewhere], well, then, we won't do it."

St. Elsewhere was released in April of 2006 in the UK and May of 2006 in the States and earned almost worldwide acclaim. It was one of the biggest hits of the year and sold well over a million copies. It produced the singles "Crazy," "Gone Daddy Gone," and "Smiley Faces."
