Jennifer Lopez is Having Twins

The very private Jennifer Lopez may not be too happy after her father revealed an intimate detail about her pregnancy on Spanish television - the singer/actress is having twins. David Lopez let drop on Escandalo TV the news about the double trouble for Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, making it the first official confirmation of the news from the singer's family. People reports that David Lopez said on Escandalo TV, "Yes, twins. The thing is in my family, my sister also had twins, so it's a hereditary thing."

David Lopez even said that he already has gifts for his soon-to-be grandchildren, saying, "In Puerto Rico it's custom to buy an azabache [jet black, stone] bracelet for babies to protect them from the evil eye, it's part of our culture." The soon-to-be grandpa even said that he was thrilled for his daughter, adding, "I'm very proud. Jennifer has yearned to be a mother for many years."

It's also rumored that Angelina Jolie may be pregnant with twins, getting her and Brad Pitt closer to that soccer-team sized family that they're clearing shooting for.

The 38-year-old Jennifer Lopez briefly dated Marc Anthony back in the late '90s and they recorded a duet in early 2004 before getting married in June of that year. Lopez revealed late last year that she was pregnant for the first time with Anthony's baby (or babies). Jennifer Lopez often gets more press for her personal life than professional but she had released six studio albums in the last decade, starting with 1999's On the 6, which sold seven million copies worldwide. 2001's J. Lo sold nearly eight million copies and This Is Me...Then sold five million in 2002. Rebirth in 2005 was a moderate hit but 2007 was a rough year for Lopez with her Spanish-language studio album Como Ama Una Mujer and her 5th English-language album Brave were both relative bombs. As for movies, you can catch Jennifer Lopez in the recently-released-on-DVD El Cantante and a cameo in Feel the Noise. In 2008, she will be seen in Love and Other Impossible Pursuits and should start shooting The Governess after she gives birth to twins.
