American Idol's Top 24

After six successful seasons and a seventh in full swing, Fox's American Idol is still as popular as ever. if you've been following this year's crop of wanna-be idols, you're probably already familiar with the Top 24 contestants. A few weeks ago we had the good fortune to interview the straight-shooting Simon Cowell for this year's American Idol, who commented on whether he had a potential favorite leading up to the premiere, ""I’m not going to name any names because I always get into trouble for doing that. I might do it in a couple of week’s time though. There are luckily three or four very strong guys and three or four very strong girls this year. It’s probably going to be one of the most open competitions we’ve ever had. I can’t call out a winner at this stage. In my mind I think I have an idea who could make the finals, but I’m not going to give anything away at the moment."

Although Simon didn't give away his favorite for this year's competition, we're sure he or she is among the Top 24 hopefuls who will soon be voted off one-by-one until the new American Idol is crowned.

This Tuesday, Feb. 19, American Idol rolls out the Top 12 boys, but fans can now go behind-the-scenes at www.AmericanIdol.com/Top24 to see the contestants go through hair, make-up and wardrobe in Santa Monica, California while the Idols talk about making it to the Top 24, getting dolled up for their first photo shoot by acclaimed photographer Timothy White and traveling to Hollywood to realize their dreams.

If anyone tries to tell you they don't watch American Idol, they're probably lying.
