Juno on DVD April 15th
February 21, 2008
Find out why everyone has fallen in love with Juno, a witty and smart comedy that was embraced by audiences and hailed by critics across the country as "a perfect movie" (Chicago Sun-Times). Arriving on DVD and Blu-ray Disc (BD) April 15 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment (TCFHE), Juno is nominated for four Academy Awardsâ including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and Best Actress for up-and-coming star Ellen Page (Hard Candy, X-Men: The Last Stand). Hailed as "the little movie that did" (Entertainment Weekly), the Juno DVD release will be supported by a massive marketing campaign rivaling that of summer blockbusters and will be the first Fox Home Entertainment DVD sold at Starbucks company-operated locations in the U.S., as well as other retailers.
Directed by Jason Reitman (Thank You For Smoking) and featuring an all-star ensemble cast, the Juno DVD is loaded with special features including commentary by Reitman and screenwriter Diablo Cody, 11 deleted scenes, a gag reel, screen tests and more. Additionally, Juno releases as a two-disc DVD and is also available day-and-date in high-def format on Blu-ray Disc, featuring more hilarious extras and Fox’s new Digital Copy, allowing viewers to quickly and easily transfer a digital version of the film to a Mac® or Windows-based PC computer and then to select portable video devices including an iPod® and/or iPhone.
Juno (Page) is anything but the typical teenager with her offbeat personality, quick wit . . . and unplanned pregnancy. When one afternoon of boredom leads her into the arms of her best friend, Juno begins a hilarious nine-month journey of self-discovery into adulthood. Supported by a fantastic cast including Page, Michael Cera (Superbad, Arrested Development), Jason Bateman (Arrested Development, The Kingdom), Jennifer Garner (The Kingdom, Alias), J.K. Simmons (Spider-Man 3, Thank You For Smoking) and Allison Janney (Hairspray, The West Wing), Juno "reminds you of why you fell in love with movies in the first place" (The Hollywood Reporter).
The single-disc DVD is available for the suggested retail price of $29.98 U.S./$43.48 Canada. The standard two-disc DVD will be available for $34.98 U.S./$45.98 Canada and the Blu-Ray Disc will be available for $39.98 U.S./$49.98 Canada. Prebook is March 19.
