Britney Spears Gets Second Visit with Sons
February 26, 2008

After watching what seems to be an odd episode of an over-the-top reality show about the dark side of the celebrity moon, there's a ray of light in the relentless paparazzi driven saga of 26 year old former pop queen Britney Spears. On Monday, after ongoing negotiations between lawyers for both sides and two months away from her sons Jayden James and Sean Preston, Britney Spears scored a second victory as she was awarded another in-home visit with her boys. The most recent in-home visit marks two visits with her sons in less than a week. As E Online reports, the Spears - Federline offspring were driven to Britney's home early Monday morning by Kevin Federline's security guard and spent approximately three hours with their mother before leaving sometime around noon.

Although the details surrounding the latest visit were kept under wraps, E Online reports that "Among those present at the initial visit were her father, Jamie Spears, a court-appointed monitor, a Federline bodyguard and an attorney from the Luce Forward law firm, which is handling Britney's conservatorship for Jamie Spears. It was believed all parties were on hand again for Monday's visit."

As widely reported (ad nauseam), Britney's ex-husband, Kevin Federline, was awarded custody of Jayden James and Sean Preston in October of 2007 after Spears continued to display what the legal system deemed to be irresponsible behavior that could potentially endanger the children. In January of 2008, Spears lost visitation rights to her sons after a public meltdown that led to her hospitalization and her conservatory affairs transferred to her father Jamie.

As Britney continues to make progress in the hope of regaining full visitation and possible custody of her sons, documents were filed on Monday in an attempt to end the conservatorship control of Britney's affairs currently being controlled by her father. It appears lawyers for Britney Spears are seeking to have the case moved to Los Angeles after arguing that the singer's constitutional rights have been violated.
