Halle Berry Gives Birth to Baby Girl

Oscar-winner Halle Berry gave birth to her first child yesterday. The movie star and her model boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry, welcomed a daughter into the world in Los Angeles yesterday. According to the representative for Halle Berry, the as-yet-unnamed baby girl is doing great. E reports that Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry met in November 2005 when they were doing a Versace photo shoot together and that they were revealed to the world as a couple about three months later.

In September, Halle Berry announced that she was pregnant at the age of 41. She was on the cover of In Style in February, showing off her baby bump and still looking gorgeous. She told the magazine, "I may only do this one time, so I want this moment to be as big as it can be. I want the biggest bang I can possibly imagine."

Halle Berry has revealed already that her daughter may not have a first name yet but that she will take the last name of her father, Aubry. It is also worth nothing that Halle Berry and her baby daddy are not married and have shown no signs of wanting to get married. They may stay a couple without tying the knot, which isn't surprising considering the bad history that Halle has with wedding rings. Halle Berry was married to David Justice and Eric Benet and both unions ended in divorce.

Halle Berry won an Oscar for her work in Monster's Ball in 2001 and also appeared in Jungle Fever, The Last Boy Scout, Boomerang, The Program, The Flintstones, Losing Isaiah, Executive Decision, The Rich Man's Wife, Bulworth, Introducing Dorothy Dandrige, X-Men, Swordfish, Die Another Day, X2, Gothika, Catwoman, X-Men: The Last Stand, Perfect Stranger, and last year's Things We Lost in the Fire. IMDB reports that Halle Berry will next go into shooting John Singleton's Tulia, which will reunite the actress with her Ball co-star Billy Bob Thornton.
