New Indiana Jones Image of Cate Blanchett

As the buzz of anticipation continues to build to an almost unbearable frenzy over the release of the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Paramount has released yet another Indy image into the online ether, this time of actress Cate Blanchett to the gang over at Ropes of Silicon.

As most die-hard Indy fans already know, Blanchett will be playing Agent Irina Spalko in the upcoming George Lucas - Steven Spielberg joint. Judging by the photo, Cate looks like she fits well into the world of Indiana Jones, especially with the black hair and matching gloves.

If that's not enough Indy goodness for the end of the week, Paramount has also posted a number of new media downloads at the official Kingdom of the Crystal Skull website plus a a new featurette with Shia LaBeouf.

How successful will the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull be when the movie's released on May 22? Well, it's a safe bet to say it'll likely help put Paramount over the top as the top studio earner for 2008.
