Lindsay Lohan Sex Tape a Fake?
March 21, 2008

In an age when celebrity sex tapes have biarrely seemingly become an expected norm, the latest to come down the rumor pike is allegedly of Lindsay Lohan and her ex-beau Calum Best. We say allegedly because the Best camp is already denying the claim, stating to OK magazine that Calum Best doesn't know anything about a sex tape and that it's not him in the images that appeared online. In a single image that appeared online, reports suggest that the video still from the tape is allegedly of Lindsay Lohan. On the Londsay Lohan side of the fence, Lohan's camp has yet to issue a statement on the alleged sex tape, but it's a safe bet to expect some type of official word might be coming soon.

However, despite the denials from the Calum Best camp, The Sun alleges that the still image of the tape was sent to Best's friends by Calum himself and then somehow appeared online. Who really knows... and who really cares for that matter? The internet gossip circles have been lighting up for hours - both the tabloids and mainstream media - over whether the video image of the alleged tape is authentic or a fake. Like we said, who really cares?

As the debate rages on over whether the person in the image is Lindsay Lohan or whether the sex tape is real, it appears that some celeb gossip bloggers have already begun to debunk the alleged Lohan tape since another similar video seems to be the source of the apparent hoax. Adding to the debunkery, a rep for Calum Best told The Sun that "it is definitely not Calum."

Boy, not only does sex sell but fake sex seems to sell, too. We've never seen a more appropriate case where the age old "Caveat Emptor" would apply.

As some celeb gossip sites have been reporting, the alleged Lohan sex tape comes a week on the heels of another rumored round of racy images that were alleged to be of Sex and the City actress Kristen Davis, who also denied it was her in the recent images that appeared online.
