Jaime King in 3-D!
March 25, 2008

The gorgeous Jaime King (Sin City) will now be in your lap, sorta, when she appears in a 3-D remake of My Bloody Valentine, according to today's Reuters. The remake of the 1981 slasher flick follows a murderer who commits his crimes on Valentine's Day. Jaime King will play the scream queen of the piece, Sarah Palmer, a woman who, according to Reuters, has married her teenage sweetheart's nemesis and the pair have a child together. Sarah and her first love are reunited and it becomes clear that she still wants her original sweetheart. People get sliced and diced along the way. The screenplay for My Bloody Valentine was written by Zane Smith and will be directed by Patrick Lussier. The film will start shooting in May and be released in January of 2009 (why not in February ON Valentine's Day is unclear but don't be surprised if it gets delayed a couple weeks).

According to IMDB, My Bloody Valentine in 3-D is the screenwriting debut of Zane Smith. Patrick Lussier directed The Prophecy 3, Dracula 2000, Dracula II: Ascension, Dracula III: Legacy, and White Noise 2: The Light. Wow. That's a Hell of a resume. He also edited New Nightmare, Vampire in Brooklyn, Scream, Mimic, Scream 2, Halloween H20, Music of the Heart, Scream 3, Cursed, Red Eye, and The Eye.

The 28-year-old Jaime King, who recently ranked in the top 40 on Maxim's Hot 100 list of beautiful women, can be caught on DVD in Blow, Pearl Harbor, Slackers, White Chicks, Sin City, Two For the Money, Cheaper by the Dozen 2, and Kitchen Confidential. She has finished shooting the long-delayed Fanboys, The Pardon, and Frank Miller's The Spirit. King is currently shooting A Fork in the Road with Daniel Roebuck.
