Ashley Tisdale's Career Hits High Notes
April 17, 2008
Just like Irene Cara sang in the theme song of the popular musical TV series Fame in the 1980s, “Fame. I’m going to live forever,” actress Ashley Tisdale is capitalizing on her own celebrity to pave the road for a long and fruitful career. Tisdale, who rose to fame in the successful High School Musical films, is currently in talks to take the lead role of Louise Miller in a remake of the 1989 film Teen Witch, originally played by Robyn Lively.
Ashley Tisdale, who recently made headlines after going under the knife for a nose job, will soon be seen in High School Musical 3 where she’ll reprise her role as Sharpay in the popular teen friendly franchise. If that’s not enough for one rising star, Tisdale will also be seen in the upcoming teen comedy They Came from Upstairs, about a group of young friends who try to save their summer retreat from aliens.
As Ashley Tisdale lays a foundation for the future of her immediate career, the High School Musical actress is also currently in discussions with FremantleMedia for a possible future television project. If Tisdale plays her cards right, she could be breaking out to a much wider audience since FrematleMedia is the same company that produces Fox’s gargantuan hit, American Idol.
Although news of Tisdale’s Teen Witch role hit the internet this week, a script for the project is yet to be realized.
