"Crank 2" Gets Cranked Up
April 23, 2008
After becoming one of the cooler sleeper hits of 2006, Crank is cranking up its sequel with the fresh news that more actors have been added to the cast of Crank 2: High Voltage. Joining Jason Statham in the role of hit man Chev Chelios for the sequel will be returnee Amy Smart in the role of Chelios’ girlfriend, Clifton Collins Jr, in the role of the villain, and the lovely and sizzling hot beauty Bail Ling, along with Crank returnees Dwight Yoakam and Efren Ramirez.
According to Variety, the story will follow Jason Statham's previously established character, as "... Chelios faces a mobster who has stolen his nearly indestructible heart and replaced it with a battery-powered ticker that requires regular jolts of electricity to keep working."
As Variety reveals further, filming for Crank 2 gets underway in Los Angeles on April 28 with original Crank directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor at the helm.
The funny thing for us - Bai Ling walked right past us the other night while two of The Deadbolt’s writers were having coffee. Weird.
