Survivor Castoff Jason Siska Looks Back on Micronesia
by Troy Rogers

Although this season's Survivor has served up more than a few surprises, last week Natalie stepped up to the plate to surprise of few of her tribe mates. When Jason Siska's flame was extinguished on Micronesia, he left the game wondering why Natalie hadn't piped up and made her thoughts known until the last episode. A day after Jason was voted off of Survivor Micronesia, The Deadbolt caught up with the student teacher from Illinois to learn more about his strategy, whether he got tricked, his thoughts on Natalie, and whether he now feels that he was too trusting to become the sole survivor.

THE DEADBOLT: After you found out the Immunity Idol was being returned to Exile Island, why were you apprehensive about going back?

JASON SISKA: You know, I was just like, "Oh man, they're sending me to Exile Island again! Natalie's taking my $500." I was going to keep it. I could go on a nice little vacation when I got home with that. But then, shortly after her thing, then I was of course, "This ain't so bad. It's pretty sweet. I'll probably find the idol." Hopefully Natalie was doing it as a strategic move. Obviously that was a dumb thought.

THE DEADBOLT: You got tricked again.

JASON: I wouldn't say I was tricked, really.

THE DEADBOLT: Do you think that you were too trusting to play the game?

JASON: Maybe, a little bit. I should have been more cutthroat, I guess.

THE DEADBOLT: How do you think the five girls are going to cut each other's throats?

JASON: I think the favorites are going to eliminate the fans. Cirie, Amanda, and Parvati are a force to be reckoned with. Alexis and Natalie really need to pull something out of their hat if they want to make something happen, because Erik is just floating up in the clouds. We'll see.

THE DEADBOLT: I was surprised by what Natalie said in the last episode. I hadn't heard from her last week.

JASON: You mean the whole season. I was blown away by the things that she said and did. I guess that's what happens. You get cold hearted when you're a cocktail waitress in LA for the past 10 years.

THE DEADBOLT: Are they going to put the Immunity Idol back on the island?

JASON: Yeah. It will always go back until there's five people left in the game. Then there will be no more Immunity Idol.

THE DEADBOLT: Did James say anything to you at all?

JASON: James did not like me. I wish we could have gotten along. When I watched him in China, I was like James is awesome. I was really looking forward to meeting him, but he just thought I was some hot shot, little white punk. Maybe he couldn't get over the fact that I was confident and competent in what I was doing in the game.

THE DEADBOLT: You didn't get that from the episode at all, that you didn't get along.

JASON: Yeah, he didn't like me. I think that James gets a real pleasant edit. He's actually kind of abrasive.
