Giant Coachella Pig Found “Fried”
May 1, 2008
After former Pink Floyd front-man, Rogers Waters, pointed the Coachella crowd to a two-story inflatable pig in the sky with the words “Don’t be led to the slaughter” and a suggestion to vote for Obama during his performance at last weekend’s music festival, the airborne bovine broke free from its reigns and floated away to parts unknown… until Monday.
According to Reuters, the giant inflatable pig, which has been a Pink Floyd staple since the ‘70s, was found ripped and torn by two couples in the sleepy desert town La Quinta, California on Monday. Reuters goes on to reveal that La Quinta resident Steve Stoltz found the "fried" pig on his driveway when he was on his way to get the daily newspaper. However, more of the torn pig was found next door on the property of Stoltz’s neighbor, Judy Rimmer.
A $10,000 reward for the pig was issued by Coachella organizers, which will now be split between both couples.
