Nine Inch Nails "The Slip" Available for Free Download
May 6, 2008
While the music industry continues to transform by the week in an effort to keep pace with the digital age, artists are also trying to stay ahead of the curve. On Monday, Nine Inch Nails released its new album "The Slip" for free on NIN.com. Available in several downloadable formats, the 10-track "The Slip" was still in production the week prior to release on the official NIN website, which further proves the music industry is changing at breakneck speed.
According to Reuters, the album is also scheduled for a traditional CD release in July and will also be available on vinyl. On the official NIN website, singer/arranger/composer, Trent Reznor revealed the album was a gift to the NIN fan base for their continued support and he thanked them for their loyalty.
If you’re a fan of Nine Inch Nails, head this way for the goods... compliments of Trent Reznor. On the other side of the coin, you might want to head to this year's Lollapalooza and say thanks in person.
With tracks and albums seemingly being made available for free by the week, there’s a good reason behind the rising price of concert tickets. Fans can’t have it both ways.
