New International X-Files Poster?
May 6, 2008
Several years ago when it was almost a daily occurrence to see David Duchovny or Gillian Anderson at a Starbucks in downtown Vancouver, we believed wholeheartedly in the The X-Files. Although we still believe many years later that creator Chris Carter will deliver on what we didn’t get from the series when it moved to L.A., we’re also hoping the upcoming X-Files: I Want to Believe isn’t just a humorous title play on the fact that so many fans "believed" they’d eventually be let in on all of the secrets surrounding Mulder, Scully, and The X-Files at large.
At any rate, we still believe and it looks like the fans overseas do as well (maybe too much) as what appears to be an International poster for the upcoming X-Files: I Want to Believe has hit the web via the Italian website Bad Taste and X-Files News.
Is it real? At this point we're leaning towards bogus since if you look closer at the image of Mulder and Scully, especially around the head of the too-cartoon-like Mulder, it looks like they've been amateurishly layered on top of the background. Then again...
The truth is out there somewhere.
However, since the X-Files: I Want to Believe moved back to Vancouver where it all all started, we're more than willing to believe the upcoming July 25 release will look as dark and cool as it did back in the day.
