Marissa Miller Named Hottest by Maxim

Who? Seriously, we love hot new talent as much as the next team of guys working on a website, but Marissa Miller is the hottest woman in the world? One spot ahead of Scarlett Johannson? If Maxim says so, it must be true. The notorious men's magazine has picked Miller as the most beautiful woman in the world in their annual Hot 100 list. The magazine states, "Not since Cindy Crawford ruled the catwalk has a pinup born and bred on U.S. soil so thoroughly captured the imagination of the American male." If you say so. Following Marissa Miller on the list were the more instantly recognizable and inarguably HOT Scarlett Johannson and Jessica Biel.

The rest of the Maxim top ten were filled out by Eva Longoria Parker, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Elisha Cuthbert, Eva Mendes Christina Aguilera, Lindsay Lohan and Ashley Tisdale. Really? We know these lists are subjective, but come on. Do you think it's any coincidence that most of their top ten (possibly even all) have been on the cover of Maxim? They're all pretty girls, but they seem like odd choices for the ten hottest women in the world.

The list gets a little more interesting when you get past the top ten. The Chicago Tribune listed a few other notables including Tila Tequila, Cheryl Burke & Julianne Hough from Dancing with the Stars, Harry Potter's Emma Watson, Kristen Bell, Leighton Meester & Blake Lively from Gossip Girl, Eliza Dushku, Hilary Duff, Ashlee Simpson, and Vanessa Hudgens, who the Trib notes probably earned her spot when nude photos of her popped up on the internet.
