Terminator Salvation Gets Underway in New Mexico
May 23, 2008

After a five year absence from the movie landscape, the latest action-packed installment in the Terminator franchise has gotten underway in New Mexico. Although principal photography on the movie began earlier in May, more in-depth and broader production on Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins has finally started in the arid location around Albuquerque, New Mexico, kicking off a fanboy frenzy that will continue for a year, as Terminator Salvation now officially makes it way to a 2009 finish line when it hits theaters.

With director McG at the helm and soon-to-be second time Batman, Christian Bale, in the role of John Connor, Terminator Salvation will once again be taking place in future, this time in 2018 as Connor encounters new character, Marcus Wright, who might or might not be from the past or future. As the Terminator action heats up and mankind is about to be "terminated," both Connor and Wright find themselves in the middle of Skynet where they learn the truth behind why humans are being eradicated.

While humans currently search out new and novel ways to eradicate themselves in real life, either by war, out of control technology, media overload, political spin, or what have you, let’s hope the rest of us are still around to check out the goods come May 22, 2009 when Terminator Salvation finds its way to the big screen.
