After rising through the Hollywood ranks as a quirky, offbeat, and sometimes wild young actress, Angelina Jolie has blossomed and matured into a beautiful, elegant, and socially aware woman with a huge heart. Not only is Jolie now an A-List actress and one of the most written about celebrities on the planet, she's also the most visible and recognized Goodwill Ambassador from the United States. Although it might seem like Angelina Jolie has been away from the acting world more often than not in recent years given her highly publicized humanitarian efforts, Jolie has been in at least one film a year since her career really took off with Girl Interrupted in 1999 and Tomb Raider in 2001.

While overseas attending the Cannes Film Festival over the past couple of weeks, a pregnant and barely cosmetic Jolie took some time to talk to the press about her upcoming voice role as a fighting tigress in DreamWorks' animated film Kung Fu Panda, why she wanted to sign on to the upcoming comic adaptation Wanted, whether she'll be attending the opening ceremony of the Olympic games in China, how her image has changed over the years, and whether she knows the sex of her unborn babies now that Jack Black revealed to the world that she's pregnant.

Angelina Jolie on returning to Cannes after A Mighty Heart:

"It's always fun to be here with DreamWorks. The first time I was here was for A Shark's Tale and I was on the back of a floating shark being dragged along the ocean, again with Jack Black. But it's great to be here. The festival can be about competition and it can be intimidating, but I tend to get to the fun stuff as well. So it's always been fun for me."

Jolie on her time in France:

"It's an unusual time for me - I'm pregnant, but it's different this time. The last time we were in Paris and we were being followed and we asked the paparazzi not to follow us for one day and they did. We don't get that kind of treatment in Los Angeles."

On whether she’ll be at the opening ceremonies at the Olympic Games in China:

"I'm torn. I do think it's important to be very strongly against the human rights relations in China, and against corruption in government, but not only should we be concentrating on China but all governments, and especially about Darfur and China. I think America should be stronger about following up the arrest warrants and be stronger about Darfur. It's not only China. And at the same time I see the little kids running outside with their flags excited about seeing the torch, and I feel for the children of China because this should be a very, very happy time for them, especially with all the horrors they're going through. It should be a positive thing to have people from around the world come, and instead it's hijacked by government. That's not what it should be about. So it's difficult and I'm torn and I'm sorry for the children that it’s become that."

Jolie on how her image has changed over the years:

"It's funny. If any of us had pictures of ourselves at 21 years old, I'm sure we'd have a good laugh at ourselves. At the same time, I'm exactly the person I always was. And this idea that I went from being wilder or darker to something calm and all grown up is not completely true either. I'm able to be bolder in my life now and make bolder decisions and have greater adventures and take on different types of things certainly more than I did as a kid. So I feel my life has gotten more extreme in many ways, and I look back and see pictures of me and it looks exactly just like me."

Angelina Jolie on why she decided to do Wanted:

"The reason I wanted to do that film is that I felt it would be good for me to do an action movie because I had been going through some things in my life. I had lost someone in my family and I had a baby and I needed to feel I should get back in the gym and get focused on some aggression [laughs], and I would recommend that to anyone woman who needs that."
