Flashpoint Scores Ratings Victory for CBS

In the competitive world of TV crime, CBS scored a victory on Friday with their new action-crime drama Flashpoint, starring Enrico Colantoni, Amy Jo Johnson and Hugh Dillon, about an ETF tactical team that takes on gangs, rescues hostages, diffuses bombs, and keeps the city streets safe from big time crime. According to the newly released ratings numbers, CBS and Flashpoint scored a victory in the all-important 18-49 demographic, opening the door for Flashpoint to become another golden gem for the network.

Here's a look at the ratings numbers for Flashpoint that just hit our inbox, complements of the official CBS release.

"The premiere of CBS's new drama FLASHPOINT was Friday's Number One program of the night in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for July 11.

"FLASHPOINT (P) (10:00-11:00 PM) won its time period in households (5.3/10), viewers (8.13m), adults 25-54 (2.6/08) and adults 18-49 (1.9/06).

"This was CBS's best delivery in the time slot in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 since May 16, 2008 (NUMB3RS finale)."
