Criss Angel Escaping to Extreme Heights in Season 4

After three magical and successful mind-freaking seasons on A&E, extreme illusionist Criss Angel is getting set to blow the minds of TV viewers for a fourth time. Following the season premiere of Criss Angel Mindfreak on July 23 on A&E, which will see the extreme mentalist literally walk on water, Angel will then attempt to escape from a collapsing 6-story building in a live one-hour broadcast on July 30 at 10pm ET on A&E. Although the exact location hasn’t been disclosed, in the second episode of the season dubbed "Building Implosion Escape", Criss Angel will be shackled inside of a 6-story building filled with explosives where he’ll attempt to free himself and run to an awaiting helicopter before the structure implodes.

Although it might seem like Criss Angel burst on to the magic scene just prior to season one of Mindfreak, the master illusionist was already a well-known hit with fans in New York City, having enjoyed a successful run at Madison Square Garden and on Broadway with his Times Square performances. When Angel landed his own series on A&E, his career exploded. After speaking to the master illusionist prior to season two, we like to think of Criss Angel as the Bruce Lee of magic given his ability to balance his metal skills and physical talents with a spiritual philosophy.

Since Angel usually takes time off in between seasons and travels to Mexico to think up new ways to out-do himself, season four of Criss Angel Mindfreak is shaping up to be yet another year of extreme illusionary goodness for A&E. According to A&E, the new season "... will feature three one-hour specials and 15 all-new half hour episodes premiering every Wednesday at 10 PM ET/PT. The season kicks off with ‘Walk on Lake,’ a one-hour series premiere on Wednesday, July 23 at 10 PM in which Criss attempts to walk on the world’s largest manmade lake, Lake Mead in Nevada amidst spectators and boaters. The upcoming season will feature incredible illusions, death defying escapes, fearless demonstrations and astonishing physical feats including being cremated alive, walking through steel and inviting skeptics to be part of a deadly challenge where one wrong move will cost him his life."
