The Final Act of The Shield

After a hugely successful run on FX, The Shield and its Strike Team will be saying goodbye to fans following the end of the upcoming 13 episode seventh season dubbed "The Final Act". Premiering on September 2, 2008, we’re sure there’s a good chance The Shield will go out with a bang in the same way it started back in 2001-02.

Created by Shawn Ryan, along with acclaimed writer/director David Mamet, The Shield propelled FX onto the cable stage as a credible and formidable competitor in the modern world of TV. We knew The Shield would be successful, but we couldn’t have predicted FX would get seven years out of the cast, especially since actor Michael Chiklis went on to co-star as The Thing in both Fantastic Four movies while working on the series.
