Why Gambit didn't make an appearance in the trio of X-Men movies is beyond us, but luckily comic book fans will finally see and feel his kinetic energy in the upcoming X-Men Origins: Wolverine on May 1, 2009. The latest image to hit the net comes via the gang at MTV and Empire, which previously unleashed two images of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in the upcoming X-Men extension.

In the January issue of Empire magazine, fans will also get to see the first official image of actor Taylor Kitsch as Gambit, which is now making the rounds online on various outlets.
